Video services manager
I have somehow managed to get myself put in charge of my company’s foray into video services. I am now in charge of putting together all of the processes and overseeing all things video related.
I’m not sure why, but I feel like this is somehow a positive step for Kill2Birds to achieve world domination.
Kill2Birds – Benday collaboration
Justin Kaufman of Kill2Birds (yes, that’s me) has begun writing the script for Shannon Hall’s first feature length film. Shannon proposed his movie idea to me and I offered to write the script dialogue while Shannon handles the overall vision and storyline of the film. Information about the film is under wraps so far, but Shannon plans to once again work with the dynamic Fearless Hyenas stunt team. So we can expect the following things: Cool fight scenes, zombies, some hopefully scary stuff and if I get my way, a heavy dose of the funny.
Review: Key to Heaven
Congratulations to Shannon Hall for finishing his very own first short film, Key to Heaven; written, directed and edited by him.
Key to Heaven is an action packed vampire film with a Biblical twist.
We were able to get an advanced screening this weekend. I know it did not turn out exactly as Shannon had envisioned, but it was a very in depth effort for such a short film, especially considering the short time frame Shannon had for putting it all together.
For this film, Shannon worked with the Sickening Thud crew. Shannon also worked with a Philly based stunt group, the Fearless Hyenas, who definitely stole the show with their acrobatics. Shannon has mentioned to me that he plans to work with them again. I look forward to their future collaborations. The film also featured original music from Soulbox Music Productions and Sweet Leda.
The short was originally targeted for the Philly Project Twenty1 Film Festival, but despite his best effort, Shannon was unable to put all the pieces together in time. Though he missed the deadline for the competition, he was still able to get it submitted in time to be screened at the festival.
As for the film itself, the audio needs work in places and a couple of the special effects didn’t go exactly as planned, but the story was good. Most importantly, it was fun to watch. Shannon should be very proud of what he accomplished with this movie. Kudos to everybody involved in the making of Key to Heaven and I look forward to more of Shannon’s work.
What a Night
Title not set.
Have you ever woke up on the couch surrounded by beer cans, wondering where your pants are? This short will be a lot like that.
Status: Pre-production
Expected run-time: 10 minutes or less.
Kill2Birds has decided to hold off on Foolproof until we get another smaller film under our belts.
Foolproof
First Kill2Birds collaborative script.
The story of a foolproof heist carried out by the most unlikely suspects, which proves to be anything but foolproof.
